Wilted Lettuce is made with our Warm Bacon Onion Salad Dressing

This Wilted Lettuce dish is a variation of a Pennsylvania Dutch recipe that was passed down in Harriet’s family. We have been thinking of ways to incorporate our Bacon Onion Jam in other standard recipes and found that we really enjoy the flavor that the Sweet Bacon Onion Jam imparts to the Wilted lettuce. We will be adding our recipe for Warm bacon Onion Salad Dressing later today.

Ingredients

• 2 large heads of leaf lettuce dried and cut to bite size pieces
• 1 batch of Warm Bacon Onion Salad Dressing

Instructions

1. Make warm Bacon Onion Salad Dressing in a large frying pan
2. Add lettuce reduce heat to low and cook until wilted, serve while hot

Notes

Any of your favorite greens can be substituted for the lettuce, in any combination.
